Girls Softball

We do not have enough players to field Los Altos & Los Altos Hills-only teams for the Spring 2021 season. We are still able to offer girls softball through our partnership with Palo Alto Girls Softball. Please see below for registration info and please register as soon as possible so we can allocate players to teams. The season will start with practices only once or twice a week at Cubberley in Palo Alto (and perhaps Egan in Los Altos). If/when Santa Clara County gets to the Red tier and permits it, games will be added. Palo Alto Girls Softball is initially charging only a nominal $25 registration fee to cover insurance, fields, etc. Contact Mark Meltz ([email protected]) if you have questions.

Dear PAGS Community:

Palo Alto Girls Softball registration for the Spring 2021 season will be closing in the next few weeks as the last of the teams are formed. Please register today at http://www. paloaltogirlssoftball.org/.
Spring Training
The start of Spring Training (practices) is planned for late next month (weather and COVID safety permitting) and will cost $25 to cover insurance and fields, sanitizer etc. Similar to what we did last summer and fall, these fun and educational outdoor practices will be once or twice a week with a stable cohort of girls wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
Spring Games
We remain cautiously optimistic based on the latest guidance from the CA Dept of Public Health that we may be able to play games in late spring or early summer when we move into the red tier again. As we trend closer to red, please expect additional communications regarding how we will be gearing up for play including any changes to the teams, number and timing of games, and any incremental costs for uniforms, umpires, field preparation etc.
Volunteering, Coaching, Scholarships and Referrals
Also, PAGS has great training resources for new or rusty coaches (or parents who want to help with practices or get access to the cages), volunteer board positions if you are interested in organizational leadership, need-based scholarships to make sure everyone who wants to play has the opportunity, and discount/referral credits for new players at the 6u and 8u levels. Contact [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] org to learn more.
Don't forget to register today and/or to forward this to a friend - we hope to see everyone on the fields soon!

Best regards,

Chris Pandolfo
PAGS President
